nipple for a snider

im looking for a replacement for my snider 2 band.   i could get one from peter dyson in england for 36.00 shipped, but are there any cheaper options?   thats a lot of money for something the size of a thumbtack.   can a musket nipple be drilled out?  

any thoughts?
